Please read the information in this article to find out how to get the Covid-19 Vaccine

Prime HealthCare offices do not have the Covid-19 vaccine.  The CDC is currently only supplying large organizations such as large medical centers and pharmacies with the COVID-19 vaccine. The large organizations are currently immunizing people according to the State of Connecticut guidelines.

At this time the following sites are accepting vaccine appointments.  Please click on the links below for more information:

VAMS (Vaccine Administration Management System)  - Reccomended way to get an appointment

At this time people who fit the following categories may independently schedule a COVID-19 vaccine in Connecticut:

  • Individuals 65 years of and older

  • Healthcare Personnel: All paid and unpaid persons serving in healthcare settings who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients of infectious materials. Healthcare personnel should contact their Employer Coordinator, who has been designated to ensure access to the vaccine. Vaccine administration for healthcare workers will be available at hospitals, outpatient clinics, and local health departments.

  • Long-Term Care Facility Residents: Adults who reside in facilities that provide a range of services, including medical and personal care, to persons who are unable to live independently. Residents of long-term care facilities should ask facility leadership about receiving vaccine. All vaccine clinics in long-term care facilities will be administered by CVS and Walgreens.

  • Medical First Responders: High risk of exposure to COVID-19 through their response to medical emergencies such as Emergency Medical Technicians, Police, and Fire.

The State of Connecticut vaccine roll out plan, as of February 23, 2021, is as follows:

  • March 1, 2021: Individuals over 55 years old, educators and child care workers.  For information regarding vaccines for educators and child care workers please click here.
