Kristina M. DeConti is a new family nurse practitioner who specializes in internal medicine, and welcoming new patients. Her clinical interests include high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. She emphasizes a healthy balanced diet and exercise in her care. Kristina is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a family nurse practitioner.
She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut and then received a Masters of Science in Nursing degree at her alma mater. During Kristina’s masters education she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society for nursing. She also belongs to the American Nurses Association (ANA). Kristina’s nursing career started at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT as a Float Nurse. She provided nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in her position. The ceaseless rotating of units instilled adaptive and efficient measures in her practice.
In her spare time she likes to cook, travel and spend time with her family, friends and dogs. Kristina has an interest in preparing meals from different cultures. Her favorite place that she has traveled is Aruba. She has two rescue dogs who are full of energy.
